Warm friendly people we met in Bhutan

Dear Sonam,

As requested, pleased to share some photos of our group – includes a photo of Buddha Point (in afternoon) and another with the tour guide and driver at the airport (see email 2)

You may wish to choose the best ones to show your current/prospective customers; but please keep these at Druk Asia. These were taken by my simple Sony camera, some of the others had better photos/cameras…

We’re much appreciative of your help with Druk Asia travel arrangements, good tour guide (Chencho) and bus driver; and the various warm friendly people we met in Bhutan.

Shifu asked me to add that as in Buddhism – we have no complaints, just adapt and ‘be happy’.
Hope you can kindly provide us with some Druk Asia desktop calendars 2014 – to remember Beautiful Bhutan

First trip alone to Bhutan, the beautiful country

Ms Mindu,

Kuzuzangpo La

Many thanks for the arrangement for my visit to your Beautiful Country, BHUTAN.

As this was my first travelling all by myself, I was feeling insecure and nervous upon arrival. But was pleased that you arranged Kinley Penjor and Nidup as my guide and driver. They showed attentiveness and care to my needs at all time. Due to two hours difference in time lapse to Singapore, I was feeling hungry before BST meal time. But truly appreciated Kinley for helping to arrange with local restaurants to bring forward all my meals time. Thankful!

Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest) Hike was awesome, though… I took the pony. Ha! But I did do the nine hundreds plus steps. And of course with the helping hands of my guide, Kinley. He held my hands hiking up and trekking down throughout tey! ...

The people and the views are equally beautiful!

Hi Sonam,

We had a lovely time in Bhutan!
The people and the views are equally beautiful!

We would suggest some changes though:
1. The trip itinerary should be changed according to the actual plan, some days are too pressed for time and activities must be cut out. Please get in touch with the Bhutan tours guide company, they will help to adjust.

2. Since Bhutan has only few highways, the way from Punakha to Bumthang and the way back are on the same route (one day to and one day back). We command that you offer future travellers to travel one way by plane (short 30 minutes). The trip to Bumthang can be split into 2 days, breaking in half the 8+ hours ride. It will be possible to sleep in Trongsa on that night, and have more time on the way to do some short hikes or visit other places.

Please see some photos we took from lovely Bhutan...

Finally fulfilled our dreams to Bhutan

Hi Sangay,

Kuzuzangpo La!

My sister and I have been planning to visit Bhutan since last year and finally our dreams were fulfilled with the recent trip. Thanks for your patience in helping us make the changes to our itinerary and booking the hotels we preferred.

Although my sister requested for Bull whom she met at NATAS Fair as our guide for the trip, we got Tshering Penjor as our guide instead. Wow, having such a big guy as our guide, we underestimated his fitness and agility. We were glad to have him as our guide... He was humorous and entertaining and took really good care of us. He even surprised us by bringing us to the farm stay to savor the rice wine, milk tea and crispy fried rice prior to the nature hike along the valley of Phobjikha. This was not part of the itinerary and we really appreciated him doing that.

Our driver, Namgay, is by nature a quiet...

Having meals outdoor with the cows and horses

Hi Sonam,

We had a good 14D trip experiencing the awesome landscapes, stunning monasteries and fresh cold mountain air of west & central Bhutan.

Karma, our guide, was very professional in discharging his duties from our day of arrival to our day of departure. He could answer any question that we asked. When trekking, he ensured our safety and conveniences. Our driver was also very courteous and helpful. He drove very carefully through the winding yet at times, muddy and slippery, roads of the high mountains outside the cities.

On the 3D2N Gangtey to Wangdue Trek, I particularly enjoyed our meals outdoors with the cows and horses grazing in the background, and having hot coffee & biscuits in the high passes. For the 2D1N Bumdra Trek, we had our meals at 4,100m with the yaks instead.

Although the treks were sometimes muddy and difficult ...

Bhutan is a very unique country that presents a unity between people, nature and religion

Hi Mindu,

I'm now back home and can share some feedback with you.

We had a wonderful experience in Bhutan and are very happy with the itinerary and accommodation in general. We want to express our special gratitude to our guide Kuenzang and driver Nidup who did an excellent job in making our trip comfortable and enjoyable. They are very responsive to our needs and requests in customizing the trip, and making arrangements when we were not happy with the hotel. We think Bhutan is a very unique country that presents a unity between people, nature and religion. Because of all these, we consider the Bhutan trip topped all of our previous trips before, even we have traveled to so many places in different parts of the world. So a big THANK YOU to Druk Asia in making this happen. We will highly recommend this trip to our friends, and also Druk Asia's service. If we ever come back to Bhutan, which is very like...

Excited by the magnificent mountain ranges and landscape of Bhutan

Dear Mr. Soman,

My wife, Lynette and I have heard and seem much of the wonderful country of Bhutan from Medias and wanted to visit the “Land of the Thunder Dragon” earlier but was apprehensive of the high altitude sickness. It was unfound.

The moment we were on airborne landing to Paro International Airport we were excited by the magnificent mountain ranges and landscape of Bhutan. When we landed at Paro Airport it was absolutely an amazing country! We surroundings, its scenic mountainous landscape, wonderful culture and fabulous unspoilt forests cannot be described, you have to see it and immersed in it.

We enjoyed the sightseeing to many scenic places of interests and too enjoyed the trekking trips planned and arranged by your colleagues at Druk Asia. The guide (Mr. Norbu Tshering) and our driver (Mr. Tenzin Phuentsho) are very attentive to our needs and patience, th...

Fortunate to experience festivals in Bhutan and thankful for a good guide

Hi Sonam,

Great to hear from you again :) I thought I may need some time to write this feedback. Thanks for your patience. I had a really truly memorable trip. Your country, Bhutan, is really beautiful.

Firstly, I'm very thankful and happy to have been assigned Tobgay as my guide. He has made our trip a very memorable and enjoyable one. Tobgay is definitely a tough and capable guy! - I was surprised that he serves as our driver on top of our guide.

Tobgay is a very dependable guide to be with and took very good care of us girls. I felt really safe and secure with him around. I remembered when I invited him to join us for dinner during the first few days of the trip, he accepted it politely. (After which I realized other guides have already called it a day with their guests). He never fail to remember our dietary preference and always reminded...

Never forget this amazing trip to Bhutan

I'll never forget this tour!!! Bhutan itself was amazing! Loved the big rooms especially the one in the second destination (Punaka), but all the rooms were beautiful. Also Chencho was an excellent guide and he always accommodated our needs. Lester's photography discussions also helped us with our shots. Tiger's Nest was the highlight for me. I wish we had more days to spend in Bhutan and in Thimphu in particular to roam the city.

Bhutan is my favourite place, nothing can compare

Dear Sangay,

Kuzuzangpola! Yes I have been well thanks!

Kadinchhey! Nga enjoyed the trip to Bhutan so much that I intend on visiting again in the future! The stay was excellent, the guide and driver were the best we could have. We had the best week of our lives.

The trip couldn't have gone better. The weather was wonderful, the guide was very very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and over it was a wonderful experience. There were no shortcoming at all.

Thanks again for everything! Bhutan is my favourite place to travel. I've been to India and Nepal earlier this year but nothing compares...
