The most wonderful time in Bhutan

Hi Sonam,

We had the most wonderful time in Bhutan - thanks very much for arranging our trip. She is feeling much better though it was most unfortunate that she fell ill during the trip and as a result, we missed out on several sights (didn't see much of Bumthang and missed out on Gangtey). I wish to specially commend our guide Kunzang Dhendup and driver Nim for making our holiday so memorable and exciting.

Kunzang:

-- Excellent command of the English language. Very clear in his explanation and historical narration of buildings and artefacts/paintings.
-- Impressive knowledge of Bhutanese culture and history. He was able to answer all our questions succinctly with conviction and confidence.
-- Always very polite and attentive to our needs. Never failing to open and close the car door behind us and arranged to send meals to our room when my partner was sick. Was also mindful to keep the car windows adequately wound up to prevent my partner catching the chills.
-- Expressed several times that he loves his job and enjoys meeting people from different countries. Admirable enthusiasm and work ethic.
-- Humorous and witty. Made our otherwise tedious and long car journeys enjoyable and cheerful!

Nim:

-- Steady and skilful driver. Felt very safe sitting in his car.
-- Made sure that the car was clean and tidy the next day - a gesture most appreciated.
-- Great sense of humour and we love his impromptu singing and most of all, his infectious dance moves with cheeky wide grin.
-- Extremely helpful and attentive. Always the first to jump to help with our luggage. Helped carry our heavy bag up the trek to Taktsang.
-- Meticulous to a fault. He helped me wear my Gho and always made sure it hangs perfectly on me.

PS: I intend to make another trip to Bhutan with my parents sometime late this year or early next year once Druk Air commences direct flight from Singapore to Paro. I will contact you again then.
