The scenery is beyond spectacular

Dear Sonam,

I’d just like to let you know we have had a memorable and wonderfully trip in Bhutan. It is definitely one of the best, if not the best, travel experience we had so far. The scenery is beyond spectacular and the experience is spiritually enriching. I’d also like to commend the services of our guide Sonam Choki and driver Kuenzhang Tshering who both had made our trip a memorable one.

I find our guide very knowledgeable, humorous and has provided service beyond expectations with a personal touch. Amongst the things notably are:

1) Always checking with us if the food is ok
2) He recommended we take horses up to Tiger’s Nest on our 2nd last day after noticing my girlfriend’s fitness level on the first day when we went to Tango Goempa. At first we were a little sceptical but was glad we did take the horses.
3) An impromptu visit to Kelly Dorji’s art gallery after dinner which i find interesting
4) He noted that we liked a chili dish during our home stay and got the same dish for us during lunch on the day we hike up Tiger’s Nest although the dish wasn't actually served in the lunch place.
5) Encouraged us to meditate in the temples and spend more time in the prayer halls
6) Took endless interesting photos for us.
7) He got us prayer scarfs in Tiger’s Nest after our wedding proposal the previous evening.
8) He got us beer for after dinner drinks in our farm stay which i didn't expect but really enjoyed.
9) Me and my girlfriend bought traditional Bhutanese dress and he offered to come to our hotel in the evening to help us dress up.

I’d also like to commend our driver which i think is very attentive and a very safe driver. To our surprise, some of the roads when we were driving to were quite treacherous but we felt we were in safe hands of our careful driver. Amongst the notable things he did was he always offered to carry my backpack, always attentive in supply us with water without us asking, he was quick to notice that ive wind down and wind up the car window depending on the dust or wind and he quickly followed in winding down or up his window as well. My girlfriend was a little sceptical about safety on riding horses up Tiger’ Nest and our driver offered to lead the horse up for her while she is riding it which she really appreciated.

Overall, we were extremely pleased with the services provided by both of them and i think they both work well together and would highly recommend them to our friends and family in the future.
