Encircled by pines, Dewachen sits in Gangtey’s crane-filled alpine meadow. The lodge’s traditional interiors are warmed by fireplaces and local charm. It’s a lovely base for exploring the valley, especially during the Black-Necked Crane Festival.
Set up to prioritize your needs yourself, Dewachen boasts fine cuisine and magnificent view of the Phobjikha Valley. The hotel has a cocktail lounge, horse riding facilities and cultural programmes on request. Rooms are heated by iron stoves and while your beds are heated by hot water bags to withstand the coldest days and nights.
