Did the 5D4N Druk Path trek with Druk Asia plus pre-hike sightseeing for acclimatisation and the Tigers Nest day hike at the tail end of the trip. The entire experience was excellent. My guide Sonam Lhendup was extremely knowledgeable about the history, culture, iconography of Bhutan in general and the various sights (Dzongs, temples etc) in particular. This went far beyond what you could read about in guidebooks and was very educational and illuminating. On top of that he was also an excellent trekking guide - the logistics were all very well planned, and the hiking distance and the duration per day was well thought out. Sonam also had an amazing knowledge of the birdlife and flora we saw along the way, often pointing out and identifying birds from their calls alone.
Thank you Kinley and Sonam for your constant care and warm hospitality. We really enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Now we know more about the cultures of Bhutan. Will spread our experience to our friends. God bless the country of Bhutan.
Amazing time in Bhutan with help from our local Bhutanese tour guide Ms Tshewang Dema and driver Mr Namgay. Both are very friendly, experienced, and professional. The trip wouldn’t have been so smooth and comfortable without them. The itinerary is thoughtfully designed, and you always have plenty of things to do each day. They provide trip customization to meet your special needs. Tshewang shared interesting and insightful Buddhist stories and philosophies along the way. She had experience hiking with kids below ten-year-old as well as people in their seventies.
Thanks to Kinley and Kuenga for providing excellent service during our recent trip to Bhutan. Kinley as our guide provide good explanation on each location and follow us through our treking and activities
I just returned from a Druk Asia tour in Bhutan. I was very well taken care of by SONAM CHOKI, who was an excellent and informative guide, and NAMGAY THAYE, our very competent, patient, and friendly driver. Sonam Choki provided a wealth of valuable information about and insights into the history of Bhutan in the context of the region, the political leadership of the country, and Bhutanese cultural values and religious practices. I was fortunate to visit an important Buddhist festival on my first day. Afterwards, I was guided in tours of many memorable dzongs and temples, and I had ample opportunities to appreciate the countryside and mountains.
Kuzuzangpo la! Bhutan has been on my bucket list for a long time, and I’m thrilled to share my experience. Sonam was our first point of contact, and the entire process was seamless. Every question I had was answered promptly, providing a great sense of assurance.
My 8 day trip to Bhutan was a wonderful experience. Soultrips created a great itinerary that made a great introduction to this gorgeous country. My guide Tashi and driver Sonam were the best and definitely went the extra mile to make sure my experience was unforgettable. The highlight of the trip was certainly the last day when Tashi and I trekked to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Tashi was encouraging and carried everything for me. The views were beautiful the whole way up. He even suggested and carried a Thangka I had bought earlier in the trip up to the monastery and had it blessed by a priest there. I can’t thank Sonam and Tashi enough for being such wonderful hosts and ambassadors for their awe inspiring country.
I recently returned from an incredible trip to Bhutan organized by Druk Asia, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the experience. Our group of 4 were pleased with how everything was impeccably planned and executed. Our 7D6N itinerary was perfectly balanced, combining cultural experiences, breathtaking hikes, and opportunities to interact with the warm and welcoming locals. The highlight was visiting the iconic Paro Taktsang, which offered stunning views and a sense of tranquility.
Nice place with awesome people! Thanks to the guide, Chencho and driver,Keunga for making our Bhutan trip memorable. They are always very accommodating and cater to our needs. Keunga is so sweet, he even cooks for us in the farmhouse. During the hike to the tiger nest mountain, both Chencho and Keunga were always there to make sure we were safe. Highly recommend Drukair/SoulTrips
Words can’t explain the beauty of Bhutan and its people. Our guides were awesome with their professionalism, patience and attentiveness to our needs. We were well taken care of and felt like we were part of the Bhutan family. The hotel staff were polite and friendly making our stay a pleasurable and comfortable one. I teared on the last day as the week flew by in the blink of an eye. Brief as it may, the heart warming experience has changed my perspective of life. I see beauty in simplicity and simplicity in itself is deep with meanings. Special mention to our guides Dorji Tshering and Tshering Wang Chuk who put in their best efforts to ensure we had a wonderful and safe experience in Bhutan. I give them a 6 out of 5 stars
We had a great trip in Bhutan. Druk Asia did a wonderful job in organising everything. The service by our guide and driver were excellent.
I had the pleasure of working with an incredibly experienced agent, Sonam Younten, during the itinerary planning and administration of our trip. The entire journey was thoughtfully customized to meet our needs, accommodating our varying fitness levels and dietary restrictions. Communication was clear and timely, with regular updates leading up to our departure. Special thanks go to our guide, Dorji Wangchuk, and our driver, Sonam. Dorji's insightful explanations at each site, combined with his rich knowledge of local culture, truly immersed us in the experience. His friendly and approachable demeanor added a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere to our trip.
Everything worked smoothly starting with the booking process until the final drop off at the airport. Ugyen was very helpful during the booking process. My guide and driver (Doji and Kado) made the week in Bhutan a perfect experience. Everything was well organised. I can't think of anything to complain about.
Bhutanese are one of the kindest , respectful , simplest and meekest people I’ve met. Definitely witnessed their sense of compassion to all beings, contentment and joy in the littlest things and their sense of community. I was welcomed with warm smiles & generously spoiled with goodness, genuine care & kindness and utmost service (like royal treatment!) by my guides tashi & karma - from soul trips co / druk asia and the ones from the hotels I’ve stayed in and every friendly face I met on the trip. I was traveling solo but they made me feel right at home, like I belong. Their pursuit of inner peace, mindfulness, and compassion is a way of life and not just a religious practice and it radiates. It is the land of happiness, indeed. this was a trip for the soul, and my soul was happy indeed.
Bhutan is a truly beautiful and peaceful country with amazing landscapes and the most friendly and kind people. We had an amazing week-long tour that covered Thimphu, Punakha and Paro, and we witnessed two Tshechu festivals in Thimphu and Gangtey. I don’t even know where to begin as there were so many memorable moments on the trip. Our photography guide Michael Lee was excellent as he had been to Bhutan 9 times before this and planned the itinerary for us. Our local guide Chencho Tsering was also exceptional - he was very knowledgeable about Bhutan’s history, culture and traditions and always so nice and helpful. He took such good care of us and helped me navigate the uneven surfaces and many steps we encountered along the way. Our driver Sigay was so nice too and a very experienced driver since some of the roads were steep and windy. Overall, such a wonderful team whom we were with for the week who made our stay so lovely.
Bhutan has always been on my bucket list and it didn’t disappoint. It is truly a beautiful country, with an amazing culture and lovely, friendly people. We joined Michael Lee’s photography tour and were treated to some heartwarming moments, like a visit to the Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup nunnery in Punakha where we got to meet the sweet and friendly nuns. That experience will stay in my heart for a long time. Kudos also to our excellent guide Chencho Tsering and driver Sigay. What I really loved was the flexibility, eg, traveling to more remote and less crowded places, and bringing us to eat where the locals eat, away from the tourist street (the best momos, better than all the fancy ones!). It gave the feeling of a less commercial, more personal tour. Thank you, and we will be back!
We had a very enjoyable and memorable trip. It was a hassle free experience to arrange the itinerary with the tour office. Communication was prompt, informative and accurate through email. Many thanks to both our local guide Tashi Tshering and driver Sonam Zangpo for creating such wonderful experiences. They are warm, friendly and knowledgeable and did their best to accommodate our requests regarding meals and activities on the trip. We got a glimpse of the culture and way of life in bhutan through them in the short 1 week we spent together. Highest praise for their passion, excellence and professionalism!
Had a great time in Bhutan under the 7 days itinerary which also offers great flexibility in terms of planning it around activities you want to do or see. Recommend to get Kado as your guide and Kelzang as your driver as the two are really passionate and hospitable folks who will definitely make your time in Bhutan a memorable one!
My mum and I visited Bhutan for a week, from 12th to 18th September, with Soul Trips, and I was thoroughly impressed with the level of service at every point of contact. Sonam was our first point of contact, and the entire process—from booking the trip to arranging our preferred accommodation—was seamless. Every question I had was answered within the day, which provided a great sense of assurance about traveling to a place so different from home.
We joined this trip only because it was led by Leica Ambassador Michael Lee. We had traveled with him before during our Silk Road adventure. I was warned that food in Bhutan will be BAD. So I brought along lots of snacks - biscuits, chocolates and bak kwa. We didn't need any. The restaurants that we were brought to by Michael and the local guide Chendo Tshering were excellent. Who says Bhutanese food is bad?? Get a good guide!! That's the crux!!
