I recently travelled with Druk Asia and the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish.
From the planning stage, everything felt seamless and thoughtfully handled. The team was responsive, patient with questions, and very detailed in helping customise the itinerary so it matched exactly how I like to travel — a balance of comfort, culture, and meaningful local experiences.
In Bhutan, everything ran effortlessly. The guide Pema was not only knowledgeable but also deeply passionate about their country, which made each monastery, hike, and village visit feel alive with stories rather than just sightseeing stops. Our driver Tsering was a fabulous driver and kept us safe and not dizzy from the winding roads. There was a strong sense that every detail had been considered, from timing to pacing, so the trip never felt rushed or overly structured. I appreciated their punctuality like the Paro festival to see the unfurling of the Thongdrel at 330am. They woke up at 1am to be at our hotel at 2am to ensure we do not miss the moment.
What stood out most was the level of care. It never felt transactional. The experience felt curated and personal, with genuine attention to comfort and small moments that made a big difference throughout the journey. Like bringing us to a local barber for a haircut to the thermal water bottle welcome gift. Even being so kind to prepare a walking stick and a bag to store some breakfast snacks when we hike up Tiger nest.
Bhutan itself is already extraordinary, but having a team that understands how to frame that experience elevated it even further. We stayed at Punakha that included an astrology session with a resident Lama monk and had a Bhutanese TCM doctor consultation at Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary with many therapy session such as hot stone massage, sound healing to moxibustion. We even had a momo dumpling cooking class and had it for dinner. It was super special and delicious.
I would highly recommend Druk Asia to anyone wanting to experience Bhutan in a way that feels authentic, well-supported, and deeply memorable.
