Bhutan has always been on my bucket list and it didn’t disappoint. It is truly a beautiful country, with an amazing culture and lovely, friendly people. We joined Michael Lee’s photography tour and were treated to some heartwarming moments, like a visit to the Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup nunnery in Punakha where we got to meet the sweet and friendly nuns. That experience will stay in my heart for a long time. Kudos also to our excellent guide Chencho Tsering and driver Sigay. What I really loved was the flexibility, eg, traveling to more remote and less crowded places, and bringing us to eat where the locals eat, away from the tourist street (the best momos, better than all the fancy ones!). It gave the feeling of a less commercial, more personal tour. Thank you, and we will be back!

We joined this trip only because it was led by Leica Ambassador Michael Lee. We had traveled with him before during our Silk Road adventure. I was warned that food in Bhutan will be BAD. So I brought along lots of snacks - biscuits, chocolates and bak kwa. We didn't need any. The restaurants that we were brought to by Michael and the local guide Chendo Tshering were excellent. Who says Bhutanese food is bad?? Get a good guide!! That's the crux!!

Having yeoman service from our organizer, Micheal Lee aka Leica ambassador, photographer/film producer/guide Chencho Tshering and driver Sigay, helped `make our recent trip to Bhutan pleasant and memorable. Chencho answered my queries succinctly and authoritatively. Ever helpful Sigay cleaned my wife’s soiled pillow when she vomited from motion sickness without her asking. The grandeur of Bhutan’s valleys, rivers and festivals were breathtaking. But I was more impressed by Micheal’s contacts he had made over the years.

I have always wanted to travel to Bhutan and my only regret was I did not choose to go for the longer tour package. Ugyen Dema was such a great help for all my enquiries, to the purchase of the package and even the after service support. I was able to customise the itinerary to my liking and travel on my own so that I did not have to compromise it to fit other travelers. My guide, Tashi Chedon, and driver, Dawa Gyeltshen, were just as amazing. They welcomed me once I landed and made sure I was comfortable throughout the trip. Both made me feel so welcome that I did not worry about travelling solo. Highly recommend everyone to visit Bhutan with Druk Asia/Soul Trips. Nothing to fear, even as a solo female traveler, as you can request for a female guide. Looking forward to visiting Bhutan again and definitely will be going longer this time.

I can’t recommend this tour package enough. I used SoulTrips to travel to Bhutan from Singapore and it couldn’t have been smoother. I’ll break up this review in two parts: the preparation and the tour. Preparation: I originally went with a tour company called “Druk Asia” who I believe outsourced to SoulTrips. From the (email) response time to figuring out the flights, visa, and any dietary necessities, SoulTrips made sure to take care of all the details. The 10 days 9 nights were meticulously coordinated and I was greeted at the airport by Dorji, my guide and Thinley my driver. Both became my wonderful travelling companion, engaging me with fascinating landscapes, local culture, religion and food. They ensure that I was well taken care of throughout the trip. Bhutan is a true beauty, a paradise and the only country I visited that is carbon negative. A country as beautiful and clean as bhutan is reflected to its people. Our 7-day trip to Bhutan was wholly enjoyable and uplifting thanks to our guide, Tshewang, and driver, Tshering (a stellar team). They were such a joy to be around–Tshewang was attentive in listening to our interests and refined our itinerary so we could cover more ground and tick off our list of must-sees and must-dos, and Tshering was a specialist at navigating the roads and we had no trouble resting during the long drives from city to city. What a great and unforgettable experience with Druk Asia and Soul Trips! Right from the booking to finalising the itinerary and visas, we were attentively attended to by Ugyen Dema as she answered all queries and made requested arrangements promptly and efficiently so we had nothing to worry about and only needed to look forward to the trip. The flight into Paro was truly breathtaking and on arrival, we were met by our guide, Sonam Tshering, and driver, Karma, who took the best care of our family and young kids for the entire week. They were attentive to our needs, accommodative to our requests like change of itineraries, food options, always opened and closed the car doors for us even though we told them we can do it ourselves. They are jovial and caring. Both of them accompanied us every steps, never once told us to explore the place ourselves and wait for us at the exit. Tashi has been patience with the historical explanation. They often offered to take photos for us and find the best spots even we didn't request for it. When we were trekking to the Tiger's Nest Monastery, they carried our bags and bottles of water, extended their hands/shoulders/arms for us to keep our balance as the routes are rocky and muddy.

My friend and I had a wonderful time in Bhutan. It is such a beautiful country. Our guide, Kuenga Norbu, was extremely professional and knowledgeable about Bhutan. He went the extra mile to take us to local food places instead of dining in hotels. He also customized our itinerary to include scenic spots that we particularly enjoyed. Our driver, Lhapka, was very skilled and ensured our safety on the winding and narrow roads. He was also very friendly and easily engaged us in conversation. By far the best tour experience we have had and a most special one that has touched and enriched us deeply. Everything was a breeze from the moment we decided to send an email to Druk Asia, with the help of our very helpful agent, Sonam who really took the time to craft detailed emails to us, explaining what to expect, what to pack and what to do (which was next to nothing really as everything was handled for us. Upon arrival at Paro Airport and clearing immigration, I was warmly greeted by my guide - Chencho lham and driver - Chimi. Little did I know that for the next 7 days, i am going to experience an exemplary service by both of them.
