Thoroughly Enjoyed Trip To Bhutan
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Bhutan. Before the many good things, I will mention one negative point. We thought that the room in the Metta Resort and Spa hotel, was of an inferior quality in terms of cleanliness and infrastructure. I would not choose to stay there again.
I thought all the other hotels were very good. We particularly enjoyed the farm stay. It was wonderful to meet a Bhutanese family, and we had a hot stone bath, which was really good.
We were very fortunate in having an excellent driver and guide. Jamyang was an excellent driver, and I always felt totally safe with him.
Rinzin was a marvelous guide who looked after us really well. He had a detailed knowledge of Buddhism, and was able to explain many aspects of Bhutanese culture. His command of English was outstanding. Despite our age, he helped us to walk up and down to the Taksant monastery!! We could not have had a better guide!
Finally may I thank you for your help in organizing our visit. I hope all our questions before the visit, were not too tedious!
I may not be able to visit Bhutan again, but if not, I will carry my memories with me for the rest of my life!
