Ama Dema Bhutan Review

Having completed two incredible trips to Bhutan with Druk Asia this year March 2026 and September 2026, I am deeply grateful for the exceptional care of my guide, Kinley Dhendup, and driver, Leki Drakpa. These memorable experiences brought our bonding so close that they are now my two awesome Bhutanese friends!

Kinley is an extraordinarily warm and patient person. As a senior, I was thrilled to try archery for the very first time. Even though my arrows kept dropping to the ground, Kinley patiently taught me the precise techniques and skills needed to hold the bow. It was splendid! I tried snooker for the first time too — a big challenge, but I was exceptionally thrilled when I shot the last ball straight into the pocket! We invited both Kinley and Leki to join us, and we all had an awesome, fun time together. Kinley’s care shines through in tough moments too; I will always hold full gratitude in my heart for how he extended his hands to support me safely down the steep descent from Tiger's Nest. My 2^nd trip to a monastery during a heavy downpour, he extended without hesitation his hands again. Felt blessed and safe in Kinley good hands!!!

Leki was our wonderful driver on that first journey, constantly accommodating and carefully snaking through the mountain roads and keeping us completely safe. On our second trip, even though he was assigned to another tour, he went completely above and beyond: when rainy weather paused his group's itinerary, he chose to spend his free day catching up with us. I will be requesting Kinley and Leki again. No regrets—it is an awesome time with great food and great friends. I highly recommend both to any travellers! Happy and cheerful duo Kinley and Leki!
