Dear Mr. Sonam, I would like to thank you for the time and patience that you took arranging my trip to Bhutan. Not being able to communicate with you immediately prior to my arrival in P'soling due to the email problems with Yahoo was a source of worry to me. Consequently, meeting my guide and driver at the Bhutan gate at lunchtime on 2nd January was an enormous relief. The 6 days I was in Bhutan were memorable for many reasons. The genuine friendliness of the people and their desire to please foreign visitors along with the stunning scenery and magnificent Dzong architecture will long remain in my mind. My guide, Mr. Namgay, was very informative and provided me with every assistance necessary. I enjoyed his conversation very much. Also I must mention my driver Miss. Sonam. Her maneuvering of the 4x4 vehicle on difficult road conditions around rock and mud slides etc was faultless and I felt very safe as a passenger. Doubtless you will have received many photos from accomplished photographers over the years but I am attaching 3 that I will have made into framed prints. Feel free to use these images as you wish. Just one small request, whilst I have a photograph of my guide Mr. Namgay, I do not possess one of my driver Miss. Sonam. However I do know that Miss. Sonam has a photograph of me standing with her in a restaurant that was taken by Mr. Namgay. If you could somehow contact ask Miss.
