1 Welcome to the Kingdom | PARO

Touch down in the Land of the Thunder Dragon, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by your personal guide and driver with a traditional white scarf. Travel in comfort to Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital, and check in to your luxury hotel. Over refreshments, enjoy a personal orientation — an introduction to Bhutanese culture and etiquette, thoughtfully guided by James. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll around Thimphu town to soak in its local charm.

Accommodation: The Capital Hotel (4*)

2 Mountain Pass & Riverside Grandeur | THIMPHU — PUNAKHA

Set off early and ascend to the scenic Dochula Pass, adorned with 108 chortens and panoramic Himalayan views. Continue to the warm valleys of Punakha. On the way, take a short countryside walk to Chimi Lhakhang, the famed Fertility Temple. After lunch, explore the majestic Punakha Dzong, dramatically situated at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. End your day with a stroll across the Pho Chhu Suspension Bridge, one of Bhutan’s longest.

Accommodation: COMO Uma Punakha (5*)

3 Temples, Villages & Valley Charms | PUNAKHA

Begin the morning with a hike through the rice terraces to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, a temple built for world peace. Visit the hilltop Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang, known for its panoramic views and female monastic community. Then, take a slow walk through Ritsha Village, often called the “rice bowl of Bhutan,” and enjoy a special farmhouse lunch with a local family.

Accommodation: COMO Uma Punakha (5*)

4 Into the Hidden Valleys | PUNAKHA — GANGTEY

Wind your way through forested mountain roads to the breathtaking Gangtey Valley, a glacial paradise home to the endangered black-necked cranes. Visit the Crane Information Centre to learn about these graceful winter visitors. Enjoy the scenic Gangtey Nature Trail, a leisurely walk through pine forests and meadows. Later, step into a traditional home for tea and tales with a local family. Your day ends with a quiet visit to Gangtey Gompa, one of Bhutan’s oldest monasteries.

Accommodation: Taj Gangtey Resort & Spa (5*)

5 Return to the Heart | GANGTEY — PARO

Journey back westward to Paro, where history and spirituality meet. After checking in, try your hand at archery and khuru (darts)—Bhutan’s national sports—guided by locals. Then, take a relaxed walk through Paro Town, browsing local handicraft boutiques and artisan shops. As the sun dips, unwind at Kaja Throm, a lively weekend market filled with local food, music, and culture.

Accommodation: COMO Uma Paro (5*)

6 Pilgrimage to the Sacred Tiger’s Nest | PARO

An early start for a highlight of your journey—the hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). Perched dramatically on a cliff, this sacred site is Bhutan’s most iconic landmark. Take your time, with ample rest stops and a tea break at the halfway café. Upon reaching the top, soak in the spiritual energy and breathtaking views. In the evening, return to your lodge for a traditional hot stone bath and a farewell dinner by candlelight.

Druk Asia has strong networks with DrukAir and local tour agencies, making logistics a total breeze. The itinerary was well-planned yet flexible enough to accommodate different needs. We could decide when we wanted to get up, which places to visit or simply recuperate in solitude. Will go with Druk Asia again if I were to go back for spring or autumn. Won’t have it any other way!

My trip to Bhutan was pleasant and well organized by Druk Asia. I was very happy and comfortable with my tour guide, Tshering, and had absolute confidence in my driver, Chimmi. Tshering kept me entertained throughout the trip with histories and stories about Bhutan while Chimmi was an excellent driver. Bhutan is a very beautiful country with its unique Buddhist culture and a nation of very warm people. The sceneries were spectacular and its culture charming. I will definitely visit Bhutan again and recommend Druk Asia to my friends.

I knew this Druk Asia through my friend who initially asked me to go to Bhutan. I have to say this travel is excellent. We went to Bhutan through Thailand and the next day we missed the flight. Bhutan’s flight is a bit strange in a sense that we need to be at Thai’s airport 2 hours before departure. The gate closed quite early. Druk Asia helped us a lot to arrange our next day flight. During our time in Bhutan, this travel agent frequently asked our condition there whether we were alright or not. This sense of caring is simply excellent, particularly for the country like Bhutan which is in the Himalayan continent. I really grateful to go to this country with Druk Asia. Excellent!

Back from Bhutan, I wanted to let you know that this has probably been the best holiday I ever had. Bhutan is really a wonderful place, the people are so friendly and the landscape gorgeous. We also had the best weather one could ask for, and that helped. We have been very happy the whole tour. One suggestion I would give you is to propose your future clients to spend 1 night in a farmhouse. We did, and we loved it. The host was absolutely nice and the experience of sharing dinner, breakfast and the ordinary life of a Bhutanese family was absolutely fantastic.

An unique experience! We had wonderful time in Bhutan. Though it was a short trip, we enjoyed natural beauty, spectacular view and warm friendly people. We have been many countries but this trip was something different, ...memorable and nostalgic.
