Meet Your Host: Kinley Dema
My name is Kinley Dema. I live here with my husband and grandfather, and together we run our homestay with heart and care. Our days are simple but fulfilling, centred around nature and hospitality. We love sharing this peaceful corner of Bhutan with travellers from around the world.
A Hidden Sanctuary by the River
Our homestay sits quietly beside the Mochhu River, where the sound of flowing water becomes a natural lullaby. Mornings here begin with misty views and birdsong, and evenings wind down with golden reflections on the river. The natural beauty that surrounds us is the soul of our home—we often hear from guests that it’s exactly the kind of peaceful escape they’d been longing for.
Only two homestays exist in this area, which gives our guests an unusually private and tranquil experience. Whether you're on a solo retreat, a couple’s getaway, or a family adventure, the environment encourages stillness and reflection.
Living in Tune with Nature
Much of our lifestyle is shaped by the rhythm of the river and the land. We prepare meals with local ingredients—often grown nearby or sourced from our own garden. Guests can join us on gentle walks to neighbouring villages or enjoy some quiet birdwatching right from our front yard.
Our home was designed to blend the comfort of modern amenities with the charm of traditional Bhutanese style. From wooden interiors to warm hospitality, we aim to create a stay that feels both restful and authentic.
A Place to Reconnect and Recharge
Guests often say they feel completely rejuvenated after spending a few days with us. Whether it’s the simplicity of rural life, the chance to slow down, or the deep connection with nature, something about this place seems to heal. We’re always happy to offer suggestions for gentle activities or simply give you the space to do nothing at all.
We believe in offering more than just accommodation—we hope you leave with lasting memories and a sense of calm you can carry home.
