I am writing this letter to express my most heartfelt gratitude for the incredible journey

Dear Dorji and Thaye, I am writing this letter to express my most heartfelt gratitude for the incredible journey you both gave me in Bhutan. Now that I am home, I find myself constantly thinking back on my time in your beautiful country, and it is largely because of the two of you that the experience was so magical and unforgettable. Dorji, your passion for your country is truly infectious.

Thank you for sharing your deep knowledge of Bhutan's history, culture, and Buddhist philosophy with such clarity and wisdom. You didn't just show me the sights; you helped me understand their meaning. Your humour was a constant source of joy and made every single day an adventure. Thank you for your patience in answering all my endless questions, for guiding me through the beautiful monasteries and fortresses, and for helping me to connect with the local people and their way of life. Your kindness and cheerful spirit made the entire trip full of fun.

Thayen, or as we lovingly called you, our "Laughing Buddha," I cannot thank you enough. Your skill and calm presence on those winding mountain roads made me feel completely safe, which allowed me to relax and simply take in the breathtaking scenery. But more than that, your joyful spirit and the fun you made with us were the heart of so many wonderful memories.

Thank you for your patience, your playful jokes, and for always being there with a smile that could light up any room. Your care for my well-being did not go unnoticed, and it was deeply appreciated. Together, you made a perfect team. The seamless coordination, the laughter, and the genuine care you showed me went far beyond a professional duty; it felt like traveling with friends.

Thank you for the shared meals, the jokes, and for the moments of quiet reflection you helped to create. My trip to Bhutan was more than just a vacation; it was a life-changing experience, and you are both at the heart of that memory. I will cherish the moments we shared, from the hike to Tiger's Nest to our picnic by the river, and of course, all the laughter in between. I wish you both all the very best in the future.

Please know that you have a friend in Singapore. I will not hesitate to recommend you to anyone I know who is lucky enough to be planning a trip to Bhutan.

With sincere thanks and warmest wishes,

Jane and Emeline form Singapore
