The views, sceneries and hospitality captured our hearts
Hi Sonam,
We have a tremendous time in Bhutan - the magnificent views, interesting culture and very courteous people. Our guide and driver are fun-loving. Although the driver speaks very little English, he tried his very best to communicate with us, especially when our guide fell sick on the day of our hike to Taktsang Monastery.
The hike to Taktsang Monastery is hard but it is really worth the effort. Attached are 2 pictures which we can share with you. My kids enjoyed the trekking and the overnight stay at the camp-site.
We will like to share our experience on our flight to Paro on Druk Asia. We requested for blankets on board the flight but was told that they had all been distributed to the business class passengers. The 6 blankets that were left for the economy class had also been taken up. We were appalled by these remarks. Why were there only 6 blankets for the economy class? In fact, while talking to an air stewardess and an air steward , we saw another air stewardess reaching out to one of the overhead compartment in the business class area to take a blanket for a passenger seated there. There were definitely blankets in that overhead compartment but do not understand why they had rejected our requests. Perhaps Druk Asia should look into this. Is there a class differentiation even for blankets?
In any case, thankfully this small incident did not spoil our trip as the views, sceneries and hospitality of the people captured our hearts.
