This trip began by a warm welcome from ChenCho and Dechen, two beautiful women who were our guide and driver. ChenCho Iham assured us that we had a comprehensive itinerary, but it was our holiday and things were flexible, making us feel relaxed. During the stay, we were treated to excellent hospitality at the Jewel Heritage Hotel in Paro, where the food and service were exemplary. The highlight was the Tigers Nest Monastery, Chencho climbed with us and was generous with her knowledge, from the wildlife of the forest to the intricacies of Buddhism and the temples in the monastery. We met the head monk and got a blessing. We enjoyed a hot stone bath on both evenings of our stay, anything outside the itinerary was no problem to the ladies. We had early starts and the evenings were never rushed, Chencho was totally facilitating, always with a smile. As two females traveling it was fantastic having women to accompany us. We had so much fun and it was very relaxing. Bhutan is a place apart and I highly recommend DrukAisa and Soul Trips.
