Tenzinling is an intimate, family-run resort. Located in a strategic location it gives a bird-eye full view of the Paro valley with a spectacular Paro Dzong in the background. All the 21 rooms have been oriented to give the view of the Dzong. Built in the ancestral land, the resort is surrounded by a small village amidst apple orchards, and rice fields.
Insider's Tips
You may be interested in ordering or requesting good Thai food when you staying here as Tenzinling's kitchen is manned by a chef who has trained in Bangkok for 3 years. It has a fully equipped bar if you wish to try local whiskies such as K5 or local beer. Even if you are not staying in this hotel, you may request your guide to drop by Tenzinling for Thai cuisine for your lunch, especially after your climb to Tiger Nest.
Summary
Tenzinling is currently one of two favourite hotels in Paro due to its relatively new infrastructure. Complaints such as lack of water or blackout have been very rare, probably just one or twice a year. The next alternative is probably Metta Hotel. If you prefer something quainter, you may want to consider Gangtey Palace.
