Updated on 08/November/2024

Carmen Roberts of BBC Fast Track visited Bhutan and found the happiest country in Asia.

In her second installment, Carmen and her interviewees explain the rationale behind the minimum spending of $250 USD per pax per night to visit Bhutan during the high season.

Carmen Roberts arrived in Bhutan on 23rd June 2013, taking the direct flight KB501 from Singapore to Paro International Airport, Bhutan. She was hosted at Taj Tashi, Uma Paro and Uma Punakha during her visit with Michael London. Druk Asia handled her team's logistical support. The BBC team was with Bhutanese Senior Cultural Guide, Ugyen Tshewang during their trip. Druk Asia also set up all interviews with key tourism personalities and filming permit in Bhutan.
