Malcolm visited Bhutan in August. His visit is sponsored by Changi Airport, Drukair and Druk Asia in anticipation of the upcoming direct flight between Singapore and Bhutan. He is part of an eight-member media team from Singapore that visited Bhutan to better share Bhutan with readers in Singapore and South East Asia.

Though August is still considered a rainy season, the weather has been very kind with the group. Rainy season in Bhutan is very light with short intermittent rain in the morning and late evening. It is quite rare to experience a full day rain in Bhutan.
From time to time, bad weather could be of an advantage especially if you are leaving on that same day. According to Malcolm: "The next morning, mist and low clouds obscure the surrounding hills. Some of us are praying for a flight delay so we can spend just one more day in Bhutan. Alas, it is not to be. Hugs all round and we are off. "See you next week," jokes Tshering. I wish. Bhutan is majestic, mystical and quite magical. Go there and see it for yourself."
